Terms of Service

Acceptance
By using OnTheField, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.
What OnTheField Is
OnTheField is a free, browser-based tool for building baseball and softball lineup cards. Lineup data runs entirely in your browser — there are no accounts and no cloud storage of your team information. We do offer optional email sign-up for waitlist and feature notifications, which is covered below.
Email Subscriptions
You may choose to provide your email address to join the Pro waitlist or receive feature updates. By subscribing, you agree to receive occasional emails from us related to the purpose you signed up for. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email or by contacting support@onthefield.app.
Email addresses are processed by Loops, our email service provider. We do not sell or share your email with third parties for marketing purposes.
Your Data
You own all data you enter into OnTheField — player names, jersey numbers, positions, team names, and lineup configurations. All data is stored locally in your browser.
- We do not store your lineup data on our servers.
- We cannot recover your data if you clear your browser.
- You are responsible for backing up any data you care about.
Shared Lineups
When you share a lineup, the data is encoded into the share link itself. Anyone with the link can view and import the lineup. You are responsible for any data you choose to share. We are not liable if shared data is accessed by unintended recipients.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to disrupt or overload the service
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or create derivative works
- Use automated tools to scrape or access the service
No Warranty
OnTheField is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee the app will be available, error-free, or suitable for any particular purpose. Use it at your own risk.
Limitation of Liability
In no event shall the creators of OnTheField be liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use the app, including but not limited to data loss, lineup errors, or game-day mishaps. You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of any lineup you produce.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
